If you are on a highway shoulder
It depends on where the car ended up. If it is clear of the travel lane on a wide shoulder, stay belted inside with the hazards on and the doors on the traffic side shut. If the shoulder is narrow or traffic is heavy, get out on the passenger side and wait well behind the barrier or up the embankment. If the car cannot be moved and is sitting in a live lane, call 911 first. If it can still roll safely, take the next exit and call us from there.
