Roadside Tire Assistance
Roadside tire assistance means we come to your vehicle where it stopped in the Austin area and deal with the tire. We fit the spare, fill a low tire, break loose seized or locked lug nuts, and check whether the wheel itself is damaged. We work day and night on the shoulder.

Stopped on the I-35 shoulder
The shoulder through central Austin is narrow and loud, and traffic runs close. We come to the vehicle and do the work so you can stay behind the barrier.

Lug nuts will not move
The last shop ran the nuts up with an impact gun and the wrench in the trunk will not budge them. We bring impact tools built for that.

Flat on a toll road
Construction debris on SH-130 and SH-45 cuts tires at speed. We reach the vehicle wherever it stopped and get it back on four tires.
How the visit goes

Call or text us
Give us the highway, the direction of travel and the nearest exit or mile marker. Turn on the hazards and stay out of the traffic lane while we talk.

We dispatch in 5 minutes
A van leaves within 5 minutes of your call. The technician calls you if the shoulder is hard to reach or the exit is closed. That is guaranteed in Austin and the nearest suburbs; further out we give you the real departure time when you call.

We work on site
We park to shield the work area, lift the car on a jack and stands, remove the wheel and fit your spare or the tire we brought.

Torque check and you drive
We torque the lug nuts to spec, set the pressure, and tell you whether the spare is a short term unit before you rejoin traffic.
What it costs
We quote the full price by phone before the van leaves, and the quote includes coming out to you. There is no extra charge for a night, weekend or holiday call.
Questions about this service
What should I do while I wait on the highway?
Get the car as far onto the shoulder as you safely can and turn on the hazards. If traffic is heavy, get out on the passenger side and stand well behind the barrier or up the embankment. Stay out of the vehicle if it is sitting close to a live lane.
Can you get my locking lug nut off without the key?
Sometimes. A locking nut with no key can often be removed with extraction tooling, but it is not guaranteed and the nut is destroyed in the process. Check the glovebox, the spare tire well and the trunk tool kit first, because the key usually lives in one of those.
Do you carry a jump starter or fuel?
No. We are a tire service, so we handle tires, wheels and pressure sensors only. We do not jump batteries, deliver fuel, unlock cars or tow. If the problem turns out not to be the tire, we tell you straight away so you can call the right service.
My spare is flat too. Can you still help?
Yes. Give us the tire size on the phone and we bring a new or used tire in that size instead of relying on the spare. We can also fill a spare that is only low, since the van carries an air compressor.
Do you come out to the airport?
Yes. We cover Austin-Bergstrom pickups, the cell phone lot and the garages, along with the rest of the metro. Give us the terminal, the level and the space number, and tell us if you are on a short parking window so the technician knows.
Can you tell if my wheel is bent?
We can look at it. A curb strike or a deep pothole can bend the rim lip or crack the wheel, and we show you what we find and whether the tire will hold a bead on it. We do not repair wheels, so a bent rim needs a wheel shop.
